Nysuria, named after the ancient site now known as Nissoria, is an independent microdistillery located in the heart of Sicily. They carefully oversee every stage of production, selecting only the freshest ingredients and botanicals, all gathered in harmony with nature’s rhythms and seasonal cycles. This masterclass offers the opportunity to explore their handcrafted botanical spirits and bespoke gins, made with Sicilian juniper and other local ingredients.

Arancini Tasting Lunch with Rosario Umbriaco

Rosario hails from a long line of renowned restaurateurs in Enna. Like his ancestors, he carries forward the tradition of Sicilian street food, becoming both an ambassador and a symbol of Italian culinary excellence. He is an alchemist, capable of transforming simple ingredients into true works of culinary art. A delicate coating of ancient Sicilian grains encases gastronomic treasures: saffron, Piacentinu cheese from Enna, Trapani sea salt, Ispica carrots, and donkey mortadella. Despite his success, he still runs the small shop where it all began, preserving a warm, homely atmosphere that makes you feel part of the everyday traditions of the people of Enna, simple yet profound. You will be welcomed with a glass of organic Sicilian sparkling wine, followed by a tasting of various arancini from Enna and his famous cannoli.
